Model #2 Army

I have shown photos of the 1st Model, 1st Issue, 1st Model, 2nd Issue and the 1st Model, 3rd Issue revolvers. The natural progression would be the Model #2 a few of which are shown here. Left side are five inch barrels; right side six. Right side, top two are Japanese marked for the Yokohama and Shimaneken Prefectures.

Very nice collection indeed. But in your natural progression between the model 1 and 2, didn't you forget the 1 1/2 model (from top to bottom, first issue, transitional issue and second issue) ?

I forgot to specify that I was only thinking of the number of the model in this progression, because I know that the model 1 1/2 was in fact produced after the # 2.

Patbar, I haven't forgotten the 1 1/2's. They were produced after the #2's but this is where everything starts to boggle my mind. As an example; where does the New Model 1 1/2 CF fit? Should it be included with the RF Model 1 1/2's because of Model designation?

Mike, what a pic of a great group of #2s.

Mike, Easiest way to classify the Model 1 1/2s, is " 1 1/2 RF Old Model" and " 1 1/2 CF New Model" If you are a perfectionist, then throw in the round butt with the Old model barrel as a "Transitional model 1/1/2." If you are still boggled, just send me all your 1 1/2s and relieve your stress. Ed. ( PS: Don't forget the boxes ! )

Another Model #2 photo

I found another photo of three Model #2 revolvers that had occupied space and time in my safe. The right side revolver is a British copy that is Japanese marked for the Hiroshima Prefecture.

I'll post some photos of the 1 1/2 .32 RF revolvers when I find the photos. I photographed everything except my Belly Button. I'll make a separate post of the New Model 1 1/2 .32 CF revolvers as there are many photos.
