Anyone have one of these? are they any good? I'd like to get a "plinker" but I've never seen or held/shot one of these Smiths.

I think they're very good, especially for the asking price. I've had mine since they were introduced in 1997, and I find it to be very accurate. I recommend them.

I have stated this here before but I'm glad to say it again....I have a 22a and it is as accurate as my model 41 and it does it at 25% of the cost. In many 1000s of rounds it has been completely reliable. This pistol is very easy to shoot well.

I sneak my wife's 22A out of the safe every few months. +1 on everything said so far. One of the best values out there.

I love mine, I try to shoot a couple hundred rounds through it a week. They are cheap, fun, accurate. Its an all around good gun. Mine is a little ammo picky, I just have to stay away from most of remmingtons stuff. You def won't regret buying one!

local sports has the basic model for $229., can't beat it.

I Love Mine! Bought it about a year and a half ago at Gander Mountain $199.00. For the money you can't beat them.
