Sold one just last month at a local show....


Conversation was mainly about fishing, hunting and guns...
Namely Smiths.

Sitting downstairs this am having my coffee and golf cart pulls
up in the yard.......Guy from last summer.
They rented a place just up the road.

Well, ok then. This one came up for sale last year with some "other stuff" and I paid $1600 for it. Then discovered the Leupold Delta Point on it couldn't be adjusted; oops. Sent it in to Leupold for a fix and more "oops" as it can't be repaired. . . .but we're sending you a new Delta Point Pro. So no oops there after all. Sold the "other stuff" and the 25-2 ended up costing a few hundred dollars.

Enjoy yours, great fun to shoot although this one is so tight I have to be extra careful when sizing brass for hand loads or the cylinder won't close with full moon clips. My 625s don't seem to care, but this one does.

They didn't stamp a model number on this one. I paid $1200 for it with a ton of ammo. I sold about $300 worth of the ammo and I'm still shooting some of it.

Wow, looks great!. Love those stocks, may be one of the guns that actually came from the factory with them. Have you checked to see if the stocks are numbered? A few were although I don't think we've found many on guns with the same SN.

Just be sure to get it out to the range and put some rounds down the barrel.

The Model 25-2 is one of my favorite revolvers in one of my favorite fun-to-shoot calibers. I won't tell you how much I stole, er uh paid, for this 25-2 from my lgs about 10 years ago. Very accurate with mild recoil.

Model of 1955 Target

I bought this one because it was displayed on its factory letter in the picture. I could see the ship date, 16 Sept 1955! That's my birthDAY, not birth year, but the first year of manufacture! I made the liners for a S&W case and the gun came without grips, hence the cokes! Also, Mr Jinks wrote the factory letter on 16 Sept 2015!

Nice one, Xfuzz! It seemed to jump in your lap like a friendly dog. Guns and dogs - both good.

I managed to avoid the Model 25 for a lot of my years. That is, until I got increasing weary of chasing cases out of a 1911 in Bullseye matches. I decided to go old school and shoot revolvers. I had a K-22, K-32 and K-38 to choose from, but nothing for .45. So I jumped in the deep end of the pool.

I paid 11 Bens for my 25-2, and didn't get any coffee or donuts. What I did get, though, was a nearly new revolver and a new friend. We sat and talked at length a couple times now. I got more than my money's worth.
