Model 25 .45 LC...

Very nice looking revolver! Do you have plans to carry it? A proper holster would be a requirement!

Here is my newest Model 25-2 and two of what I consider appropriate holsters.

Thanks!...I don't plan to carry, probably just look at it...I have one N-frame leather holster I use for my 5-screw .357 Magnum that would work if I decided to carry it...Yours look exceptional......Ben

I like the 4" models. Been wanting one for a long while and got one from a forum member to pair up with my 6". Both are the 25-9 variant and are very accurate (.452 bullets). The Mountain Gun in the photo shoots nice too!

The Mountain gun cost me $700 back in 2014. The 6" 25-9 was $725 the same year. The 4" was a lot more not long ago.

OK, OK!...You win!...

This one did not get the full Dunkin Gunwash treatment, just a coat of Renwax since it came to me clean......Ben

That's very nice! Like the 4' barrel, wish mine was. Looks like a good deal from here. 👍

Wow, just wow!
And the good news for you is that you can slow down a mite in our race to reach the gun show to buy that cased 25-5 125th Anniversary gun today...I found another, its identical twin and it's on its way to me...I'm going by to talk to the fellow again, but why buy it now?...

Of course in thinking about it, there's nothing wrong with having twins either is there?...:o...Ben

When I started reloading in the 1980's if you were reloading for 45 ACP you used .452" bullets. If you were loading for 45 Colt caliber you used .454" bullets. Components were marked that way on the box so if you bought any you knew what to use and where and why. Reloading manuals said the same thing.

I still do and have good results to show for it.

Same for me. Fortunate for me the other guy didn't know that. I got an almost new in box with all paperwork 25-5 for $400 because it "wasn't accurate".

Since I handload, with .454s its now a tack driver. Funny thing those boolits now make all my other Colts run better as well....

My 25-5 with big throats is my most accurate handgun....

At some point in time, the manufacturers realized having two barrels so close together in size was costly so it was decided to just carry one. The good news is the .454 diameter bullet will work well in either.

My 1911's don't like .454" sized bullets. I suppose they would work in my Smith 25-2 if I put the ACP cylinder on it but I like shooting the 45 Colt cylinder so it's not eligible in my mind.

If I put .454" bullets in a 45 ACP case it is bulged ever so slightly.

Gotta love a 25 in .45 Colt. I have two Mountain Guns (One blued, one stainless) and one 4" non-Mountain Gun (don't remember the model off hand)...

Glad I got 1 when I did! Even though it is newer, and has the dreaded LOCK. It was a great impulse buy. Just about my favorite! Of course I would like a 4", or 25-7. Bob

Hello, I know that I'm late to the game but I found this 25-3 2 years ago nib with all the goodies for $1200 cdn. I know that enough of them were made that makes them not that rare but I just can't bring myself to shoot it.

klind45, I know the term is popular here but, guns are only NIB once aren't they?
