Model 25-5

Midway has them. I have never used anything lower than .126" on an N-frame. If you have one of those cursed 25-5s that shoots a mile high, the .126" blade won't fix it. A custom front sight will, but that is an expensive fix, since the front sight is integral with the barrel. It must be milled away, a keyseat cut, sight fabricated, installed, and pinned. The best thing to do with these pitiful guns is sell them and buy something that works and was made like it was supposed to be.

The only other alternative I remember seeing was one of the fellows here fabricated a patridge blade that he fit into the dovetail for the red insert in the front sight. I'm not sure how he kept it there, but it was a clever idea - if it didn't fly away when the shooting started.

Back to original question, I had three 4" 25-5's, 1 with pinned barrel and 1 non-pinned but both have "N" prefix serials and latest version with alpha-numeric #'s.
I sold the pinned version due to oversized chambers and acquired a 4" -9.
Now all 3 have correct chambers and shoot very well with anything I've ran thru it.
