No, the initial 25-5s suffered from huge cylinder throats. About the same time that they dropped the barrel pin , they also tightened up the cylinder throats. I have gauged 25-5 cylinders as large as .458
Only way to be certain is pin gauges or slugging the throats. An actual .452 bullet should not drop though without a little help
This 25-5 had .458 throats and an 8 3/8 barrel. Reamed a 29-2 cylinder to 45 colt and fitted it, and chopped the barrel to 5"
My 25-5 is an earlier one that has the large cylinder throat. I use .455 inch lead bullets that work well in the revolver. Yes, the .452” bullets just drop through the cylinder.
