When I took the grips off I noticed that it looks sort of rusty, but I'm not sure if that is what it is or not. I saw someone else's picture of a 632 without the grips (but I can't find it now) and it looked the same. Is this some sort of paint indicator to its spring weight? rust? how to tell?

I don't know about the 632, but my 432PD spring has a "coated" mainspring. I assume a corrosion protection.
