model 27-2 commerative

i would like some feed back on the value of a 27-2 NIB THATis a 1 of 400 commerative that is priced at $1500.00.the revolver has a 5inch barrel an comes in a glass case.the kicker is i would remove from the case and shoot until my hand falls off.the revolver was made in 1979.what do you think about the price??...........chet

:) If the gun is unfired and 1 of 400 I think it would be a crime to shoot it. It would seem to me like a waste of money. You could buy a shooter for half that amount and have just as much fun. IMO Don
 
I agree with the above post. Beside that, the price is too high. There must be something more here.
 
+1, I agree. Why would you spend $1500 for a Commemorative and turn it into a shooter. It makes NO SENSE, the Commemorative now becomes valued at a $750 shooter. You can easily get a shooter grade for probably under $600 and go have fun.

If it's rare and you want to have it, that's fine. If you want to have a 27 to shoot, I'd suggest get a different one, you'd save money.

i will just pass up buying an look else where for a cheaper shooter..i did offer $1250.00 for the safe but was turned down..........
