I'm toying with the idea of selling/trading my model 27-2 for something else. This gun is an "S" prefix and is in awesome shape. What would you ask for it?? Also, would you guys recommend removing the inlayed gold paint on the lettering to increase value?

Looks nice. I would remove the gold myself if it we're mine.
My guess is around 700-750 if thats a 6" barrel, the most
common length found. Maybe slightly more since it is a S prefix.
Good Luck with your sale. If you have original box/tools that would
also help.

The 27 S prefixes are bringing quite a premium lately. I think if you were to put it on GB you could get close to a grand. Everyone I've seen has been going for at least 850+

The rear sight blade is also non-original to the revolver. From these angles it is hard to tell if the entire rear sight assembly was replaced or just the blade

I happen have an empty factory presentation case waiting for an 8 3/8" model 27. My Dad's was stolen decades ago but I saved the wood case.

So let me know when you decide on a number. It would be nice to see the box full again.
