I know never to say never about what S&W produced sometimes, but I have this question about a Model 28-2 with a 6" barrel.

I'm well aware of this particular model being produced mostly for LE (and being named Highway Patrolman), e.g. dull finish, ramp front sight, 4 or 6" bbl, standard hammer and trigger, magna stocks, etc. We had a stable of the 4" at my PD back in the late 70's and during the 80's, which we carried.

Question: Was this particular model ever manufactured/offered with a target trigger and target hammer? Maybe it could've been special ordered with these two options at some time?

Don't know for sure. (doubt it) S&W did things by special order. Here is my 28 no dash with target stocks which were added later. Bob

This information comes from the Standard Catalog of S&W, 4th Edition: "....Baughman Quick Draw front sight with
adjustable micrometer click rear sight, shrouded extractor rod, .400" semi-target hammer, .265" serrated trigger or .400 smooth trigger..."

Of course, with S&W, anything is possible. Bananaman's "no-dash" is considered a rarity!
