If it all checks out well buy it, It can only appreciate, they all seem to shoot fairly well, some of them are extraodinary handguns for the money. Billy Magg numbered box a +

I recently got one similar 27-2 5" brl. target trigger,hammer,and grips for $700 .Like new Ramp Front site.

They lack only the bright blue finish of a model 27. Otherwise they are nice shooters. In good to excellent shape, I'd say it's probably worth the price.

Bought one in beautiful shape off GB about 2 months ago for $480. Had the checkered rosewood grips , and not a scratch anywhere. Sold it last week for $550. These 28's, 4" and 6" are "coming out" now, and have always been underappreciated. I'd buy it without question. I sold mine only because I have several.

They seem to be going up in price a bit. I picked up an HP 1955 a couple years ago for about 350, wouldn't be surprised to see a similar one go for 6 bills these days.
