I think I've been bitten by the N frame sickness. Last month, it was a recent production Model 58-1, now this month, a 28-2 Highway Patrolman with these non stock grips (Grashorns en route as I type this) with a tattered blue box that may not match the gun, but most certainly held a four inch 28 as stated on the opposite end of the box from the missing label. Gun is in really great condition, and there's just something about these beefy N frames that I'm starting to love. First, J frames, then K's, and now, N's. Does it ever end?? I'm really wanting a short barreled 27 next, my personal unicorn.

I love mine.....its big , but feels good.....has very little recoil , is extremely well made and I love the finish.....its a working gun.

Grab em while you can , they aren`t making em anymore.

I like it, but you are right in replacing the grips. I have a 28 no dash from 1960. (6") It is wearing Herrett Target grips. Have a beautiful set of diamond targets for it too. Enjoy your 28! Bob
