Since questions are often asked about the current version of S&W's 44 Magnum, the Model 29-10, I thought I would post a picture of the one I purchased in October 2006. I have fired several hundred rounds of full house and medium velocity loads in this revolver and never experienced any problems. The nickel finish is superb.

The stocks on the 29-10 are from the late 70s and compliment the revolver quite well and make it easier on the hands when shooting factory loads.

Doc,
I bought my blued 29-10 in 2007. I've fired 1000s upon 1000s of rounds through it, everything from specials to full load 200 grn screamers without any drama. It goes to the range with me at least once every week and is certainly one of my favorite guns at this point.

Nickle Finish S&W

Thanks Doc, I am considering purchasing a late model nickel Smith (all my others are blue) and wondered how the Nickel finish holds up.The Forum has helped my decision. Thanks again.

I have looked closely at a number of the new "Classics" like Doc's new M-29. For the most part, they look to be very well finished. The polish on the nickel guns has been particularly nice.
