Model 29 12" EXTREME

I don't believe they made a carbon steel version - they are all 629's from the Performance Center. I Have one but have not shot it.

I've got a 629 Extreme but I've only shot it once, my initial impression is that its rugged but the sights are pretty blocky so I question the long range ability. But if you want to ring all there is out of the 44 mag cartridge with a Smith revolver this is the gun to do it.

It's a model 629 not 29. I HAD to have one a few years back (actually bought 4 of them for investment)...barrel TOO LONG for me...front end heavy...they came with sling swivels and a black sling in nice Performance Center gun rug. Very nice revolver, but like alot of others my tastes changed(I went from these to collecting 3" revolvers!) and I sold them...I believe right now they are in the neighborhood of $1000. Hope this helps...

I had never seen or heard of one till now. I found a deal where there was 3 gun package. Even at the $1000 price for the 12" Extreme, I think that he is a little high at $4200 for all three guns. The others are Performance shop guns.
