Model 29-3

I am looking at purchasing a Model 29-3 that is in excellent condition. The serial number is AYD1423. Can anyone tell me the approximate year of manufacture?

The build date looks like 1986 late or early 1987 as the 29-3E came out in 1987

Give the details inquiring minds are churning now. Whats the barrel length any box tools? Original grips? Condition, condition, condition? How much?????? Don't forget the pictures we all love pictures!

It has a 6" barrel and it comes with the original grips and Pachmayrs but no box or tools. From what I have read about gun condition guidelines it appears to be excellent in condition with no scratches or apparent wear. The seller is asking $750 and currently in this neck of the woods and shopping for similar models, that seems to be a fair price.

I just bought a 29-3 with the 8 3/8" barrel. Up here (north of border), I paid 800 bucks so, your price seems in the ball-park.

I think it is a fair price as well. The price range for this type of gun in Maine is $800 - $1000.
