Fantastic gun. Only real issue I have is the super skinny Altamont stocks. No good for launching mags. Easily fixed with s&w target stocks of after market.

Some things are no comparison! BobJust another opinion......and we all know what they say about opinions.
Just like a T-Bird..........original vs repop? Only 1 winner for me but with that said I have to say I've not had the pleasure of shooting a 29 Classic so can't say for sure but the billboard advertising and grips would probably make me pass if the money was about the same.
Are the new Classic's in stock anywhere in these times?
Of course your money....your choice.
Four inch 44 magnums are a blast to shoot. In my opinion one of the most versatile handguns to own .Here is a clip from 48 hrs showing the four inch model 29-3 in action.

29 Classic you say, they're disgusting here's one I have so bad that every time I open the box to take it to the range I cringe and close the box and put it back in the safe....just kidding about the disgusting part but it hasn't be shot outside the factory.
