I have a model 29 4 screw 1961 6 1/2" blue revolver. The wood box is complete but does have a few scuffs. No tools or paperwork.
I would put the blueing at 92% and that is only due to some wear on the left side of the barrel near the muzzle from going in a holster. There is a ring cylinder ring, but not too deep.
I found the gun dealers to be self serving and the blue book to be in possible error on vintage models. I do agree that sentimental value can come into play with some buyers, so I just wanted to check with a knowledgeable group.
I did take this out for it's 50th birthday year and shot it at the range. I shot it with some of its family. With those smaller grips than a 29-5, the 4 screw 29 feels good in the hand.
I will probably shoot it on my 50th birthday and then sell it. Let someone else be its caretaker. It only saw the inside of a safe for the last 30 + years.
Lastly, if I want to replace my 29-5 grips with the size on this 4 screw, what model would one ask for?
TIA
