Model 34-1 4"

Very nice! The Standard Catalog shows it as a 1973 model. The stocks are aftermarket but are attractive and easier to hold than the original magna stocks. This one looks like it spent a lot of time in its box or in a sock drawer. Enjoy this gem and let us know how it shoots.

That's really cool. A couple of weeks ago, I bought a little Rossi Model 31. That's a J-frame size, five shot 38, with a 4" barrel. I thought at the time I'd never seen a J-frame 38, with a 4" barrel, and here one is just a few weeks later.

Congratulations and as said above, let us know how it shoots.

Hunter made a nice little holster for them. I found one on ebay.

Nice looking stocks on that model 34. Great price, too.

Thank you, Sir. Will do, tomorrow is my normally scheduled range day.
I always bring my 18-3, now I will be able to compare J vs K.

I took the ride as mentioned above. The J magna stocks were still there for $30 bucks. There was also a new addition to the display case. For $100 dollars more I also brought home a nice set of K round bananas.

I'd like to find a 34 like yours for that price. I have a set of Guy Hogues I think they would look good on. Also, that other set of grips are Siles I believe.

As mentioned above, I visited my local gun club/range yesterday. Among the several handguns I shot, were my newly acquired model 34-1, and a favorite 18-3. I am very pleased with the performance of the 34-1. Here are two photos of the targets comparing the K frame vs J frame shoot out. Note targets are 8" in diameter.

Great buy! Congrats.

The thing everyone must get used to is the light weight of the 34. You can see the difference in your two targets.

Both of those guns will do a lot better than that and at 25 Yards. Shoot them from a bench rest to see. Then for normal shooting off hand, focus on a steadier hold, and grip it lightly, especially with the 34. You'll be able to shoot it as accurately as the Mod 18.

I've got a pair of those K frame 'nana grips stashed away. They are a twin for color as well. Luckily, I paid much less for those; of course, that was many years ago.

Excellent price. A 4" blue 34-1 in my area would start around $800 and go up. A 2" starts around $1100 up to $1600. Crazy!

I picked up a beautiful nickel 34-1 several years ago with original stocks and found these Sambar stags for a great price and had to have them. I made another acquisition recently of a 63 no dash with original stocks. Someone had tried to polish it and only got part way so I picked it up at a good price for my area and restored the satin finish. I put a beautiful set of ebony targets on that one.

Now to find a reasonably priced 2".

Wow, she's a beauty and at great price! I've seen 4" 63s, but I don't think I've see a 34; conversely, I've seen many 2" 34s but only two 2" 63s, and I bought both. :)
