I recently picked this up from a dealer friend of mine and thought I would post some pics. The product code is 101558 and according to the standard catalog it was manufactured in 1999 and there were 75 produced. The odd thing is that the frame is marked 36-1 and the serial number is ADB54** which would put the frame made around 1983. I guess they had some frames laying around and made a special run to use them up? Does anyone have one of these or have information about them? Thanks for any info you can provide.

Cool gun. I think the 1999 date may be a typo, as nearby prefixes are from 1984-'85 and the 36-1 was still being produced at that time. If you have the Special Order number from the label that will tell when it was ready to leave the factory.

The order number from the tag on the box says 8313 and it is marked model no. 036. Under features it says non std.

Most likely, this puts the ready to ship (or ship) date as November 9, 1988, so it was likely a very late 36-1; it was replaced by the 36-3 that year. Enjoy!

Pinto 3"?

Never seen one before. Wow, rare bird ya got there!!

Thanks, unfortunately the hammer and trigger aren't blued.

That's a nice one...I'd like to run across one like that.

The hammer and trigger are color case hardened...nothing "unfortunate" about that.
