model 36 date please

I just bought a late model 36 chief. S# J604337, i know its a late pmdel it has ovel trigger guard and front sight. just would like to know.

I recently acquired a M36 ser.#ANN5xxx .In checking SCSW I can't find mfg. date.I must be overlooking something,any help would be appreciated.

You can make an educated guess by the information there - for example, if you have the information for AAA and AAC, AAB would fall between them. ALC was shipped in 11/85 so ANN would be not long after. If you have the box you have the exact ship date on the label.
