I traded a model 12 K frame for this model 36 j frame. Serial number is J7630xx. Can someone tell me an approximate born on date?
The K frame was just too big for my wife and we really wanted a J frame anyway. When I was hunting for a nice J frame, I found the model 12 and couldn't pass it up for $100. Got lucky just a couple weeks later and found a LGS with the nice model 36. Gave the model 12 and $100 for the 36. So I've got the model 36 we wanted for $200. I'm pretty happy with that. The 36 is in better shape than the 12 and the trigger is much better. It's blued which I prefer over the 12's nickle and most importantly my wife likes it alot better.
