That's about right. Last summer I bought a LNIB Model 36 round butt Serial #J8006##. All original papers, etc. Paid $500, but I had a $250 trade in that I didn't want, so it didn't hurt too much.

s are going sky high. I was at the Phoenix Show last week, and the cheapest one I saw was $525.00. I think they are over priced but thats the going "ARIZONA" rate.
I only have one I purchased Three years ago at a pawn shop for $250. It's an old one (1955) round butt, pinned, Serial -123144. I love them and always keep my eye out for a deal. You must like them.......Your handle says so.

I just gave $350 for mine with some bluing wear.
I've been finding good deals. I picked this one up for $150 from someone who wanted it out of their house. I now have 3 snub noses. Two S&Ws ($250 and $150) and one Charter Arms ($50).
All three shoot well and vary in condition from very good to excellent. I think they are much easier to carry to some places than a large semi auto on the belt.

i recently bought a 36 no dash in nickel w/ round butt that dates to around 1976 for $300.

I stole one ,in excellent shape, about 3 years ago for $75.00, I sometimes wonder who it has shot.
