I have a model 37 box that “needs a bath”, and I’m looking for advice on how to clean it up without causing any damage. Mild soap and water? Formula 409? Acetone? Your consideration is appreciated. Tom H.
Problem solved. A light spay with windex and wipe down removed most of the years of garage grime without upsetting the blue cardboard outer layer. After I was sure it was completely dry, a coat of renaissance wax restored the luster. Lesson learned to store boxes in covered Tupperware container.
