Model 37 flat latch date help?

Newly acquired model 37 no dash flatlatch 3". #251610. Don't know any history other than it was replaced by something "more modern", and it had old past relationship negative connotation. I was very happy to get it!
Any help on the date? It is in pretty nice shape, some holster wear but looks like it was fired very little. Needs a good cleaning and lube, too! No box or original grips. It appears the Pachmayr have been on for a long time.

I was manufactured somewhere between 1957 and 1962 or so.

A good guess would be 1960.

I have a 3" also and my came with Pachmayr Conpac grips just like yours.

I replaced the Compac grips with newly manufactured service grips I ordered from the Smith and Wesson online store.

Nice to have a 3" revolver that weighs only 15 oz.

Thanks Cal44, hopefully I can pin it down a bit more. I like 3" J frames, and pretty much any other J for that matter!!

I'd place it somewhere near April '62.
