This thing just sort of followed me home the other day. I have a hard time walking away from any old Smith that appears to be LNIB condition. This was not even on my wish list, and truthfully, I've always thought the shrouded hammer revolvers are kind of ugly.

Anyway, it is a Model 38 SN J579xxx with original box. It appears to have been fired very little if at all.

Nice find. They are neat little guns. I bought mine in '81 for pocket-carry and did so 'til I latched onto a 442-1. Never run with +P. I used standard-pressure SWC and RN for practice and 125gr Nyclads for carry.

I would not have walked away either!

That one would have come home with me also. That is way to nice a looking bodyguard to pass up...and I have a 49 already! Enjoy!:D
