Model 38

Been wanting a 38 for a while and stumbled across a good 38 no dash today. Not mint by any means but it'll make a real good carry piece.

The SCSW doesn't help much with the date. Can anyone give me a better idea on it?

Looks like 1958-1959. The 38 was produced from 1955 to 1999. "38" model number first stamped in 1957, "J" prefix on the serial number started in 1969. If you have the SCSW look on page 399 top left.
