Model 41 Accesories

I just picked up a 1979 vintage S&W Model 41 with a 5 inch barrel. I was also able to acquire a correct box and instruction sheet for it. Was a cleaning kit and sight adjustment tool also supplied with the gun?

I'm sure your vintage came with the typical cleaning kit that would work with the 5 1/2 to 6 inch barreled revolvers, same aluminum slotted screwdriver. I have earlier model 41s that came with the same cleaning kits as newer models.

Depending upon the Vintage these didn't come with a "Sight Adjusting Tool" mainly because the Rear Sight on the Model 41 used screws that had slots which "Seemed" to be 'designed' to be adjusted with a Nickel. I've had several of these and I don't remember seeing any of them with Cleaning Kits. I'm guessing that since these were originally intended to go to Target Shooters and most of them had all the cleaning equipment they needed, well, the Factory wasn't likely to waste a cleaning kit for one of these.
