Model 41 cycling problem.

Usually 1/2 through a string the slide needs to be manually pulled back to cock. Is this the ammo or does it need a different power main spring? If it's the spring which is recommended? Suggestions please.

I will second Robert's recommendation to use some CCI standard velocity ammo. My model 41 chokes on most match grade ammunition. Of course it really likes the CCI green tag.
