Did S&W ever make Rosewood grips for the model 41?

No but Altomont does as I have a pair on my M46 at the moment

Thanks I have always liked the factory grips on the 41 and thought they would be even nicer made out of Rosewood.

Rosewood factory 41 grips

Going from memory here, but I believe that some years ago S&W did offer rosewood grips for the model 41 as a cataloged accessory. This would probably have been in the 1980s.

I've only seen Walnut and Goncalo Alves used for solid wood, S&W made Model 41 grips. I've seen laminated wood grips marketed as "Rosewood" but who knows what they're made off.....probably birch.
