Got a fairly new 41 that would jam on first shot after cleaning the barrel. Did it like clockwork. So next time i cleaned it I used a qtip with a little Imperil die sizing wax in the chamber. Hasnt jammed again. Just saying.....

Did you try different ammo? Mine is a mid 80's model, but seems to prefer CCI brand. Tried shooting Federal target ammo out of it and got 2 FTE's each of the 3 mag fulls I shot out of it. Didn't happen with the CCI.

Whenever my Model 41 has feeding issues, I load up CCI standard velocity ammo and it all runs smooth...

If you are not already using it, the CCI standard velocity seems to be about the best there is for the M41 - for most owners. I know it's tops for me.

You could also try swapping out the Magazine and see if it still happens with different mag's.

A simple very worthwhile upgrade to all M41's (less than $15 bucks) is to swap out the Extractor with one made by Volquartsen. Their M41 extractor fixes most extraction /ejection issues. Easy to install and no fitting is required.

My 1958 model 41 likes Winchester, Federal, & CCI. It will not eject Aguila at all, which other posts on this site confirm.

A drop of oil on the top round is a well known treatment.

After you have shot a while, there will be enough bullet lube and soot to lubricate the chamber and extraction-ejection will be good without oil or wax.

Using volquartzen extractor and cci standard. only fte on first round after cleaning, after that all is good.

My 41 which has been very reliable occasionally jams on the first shot after I have cleaned it, after that no issues. Not sure of the cause, since I know it does that I just shoot a shot at the range and if it jams I clear it and move on. On that note I used to clean my 41 after each trip to the range now I wait until I have put over 1000 rounds through it and I have no issues what so ever. My go to ammo is CCI SV.
