I understand that new Model 41s are extremely scarce. My question is whether Smith & Wesson will be making the "standard" 5 heavy barrel and 7 inch models or will future production be limited to the PC models only. Thanks Dr.J

Great question, I would love to know the answer as well. Their website still shows the standard Model 41's in 7" and 5.5", as well as the PC model. I ordered a 7" Model 41 barrel in January, and was told by our Country's largest S&W distributor that production at the Houlton plant was working feverishly to fill outstanding orders for M&P pistols, and that they would expect to see my barrel sometime in late summer, possibly August. I know of a forum member that has been waiting for a new Model 41 pistol for over 12 months. A definitive answer would be appreciated, if anyone has any other information.
