Model 41 trigger

I am shooting a Model 41 with a Clark barrel and Ultradot in Bullseye competition. The gun has taken me to an 861 score in a year so it's been a great run. I love the ergonomics and balance. The factory grips fit my hand perfectly and reliability has been almost perfect. I now feel that the trigger has become a limiting factor to further improvement. I am familiar with the pull weight adjustment and have changed it. The trigger pull changes, sometimes almost a glass break, other times an agonizing roll or creep which can feel notchy. Are there any options for a "trigger job" on these guns such as on my K frame or 1911's?

Any other suggestions?

Clark Custom Guns model 41 Trigger job.
They did a trigger job on my Ruger MK II and it is amazing. Nicer than the factory trigger on my Model 41. Shooting with that trigger is like a magic trick, put the red dot on something, think about hitting it and bang , like magic it's a dead center hit. Sweet!

As soon as I can save up a little extra money the 41 is going to Clark's for a trigger job and if I can scrimp enough , their reliability package.

I will call Clark tomorrow and get the G2 on their 41 trigger job. I use their 41 barrel without the backstrap and I have never had an alibi in 10 months of Saturday matches. Nice people too.

Anyone have Clark do a trigger job on their 41?

I haven't had one done yet, but I am just around the corner from one.

My newest M41 is a 1966/7, there is no way that anyone could begin to estimate to the closest 10,000 the number of shots it has fired.

The trigger break is still clean but it has fallen slightly below 2 pounds and has more slack than my old M41 (1965). I think some wear may have taken place over the years. A remarkable pistol, It has never needed anything but springs and a magazine release.
So I will have Clark do a trigger job and general refurbish.

Clark has done quite a bit of work on one of my 1911s and I have a Clark 10/22 which is great.

Sounds to me like a GOOD cleaning/lube is in order. Crud may be the reason it changes back and forth.

There are some very good instruction video's on the internet that you can watch to learn how to tear down a M41 or M46.

It should not be hard to find and its one of the easiest guns there is to tear down period. Pull the trigger guard down and remove the barrel after you have removed the mag and pulled the slide to the back position locking it in place. The barrel lifts off and there you basically have it.

That's fine for the vast majority of cleaning, but a complete detailed dis-assembly would entail a bit more. Most guns do not ever need to be reduced to every individual part in the course of ownership and use. There is one pistol I shoot that utilizes some fasteners are one-use designs. So you had better not remove the originals unless you have replacements handy. Thankfully, such situations rarely arise.
