In a seller's ad here, he noted that Model 41s were no longer being built.
Is that the situation?

They are still listed on the factory website. It is possible they are in between production runs but I haven't heard any rumors they have been discontinued permanently.

I agree! These are done in small runs and they take second or third place behind police and military orders. It also may be due to the amount of machine time required and other more productive[read money makers] uses of the same machinery.
