I picked up a 469 at a recent gun show. Pretty slick little gun. I tend to want to "complete" a gun purchase whenever possible by picking up the box, literature...etc. I have searched online and I haven't even seen an image of a 469 box. I know this particular gun dates to 84-85. Anybody got one with box and papers? It would be nice to at least know what I'm looking for.

Also, opinions on this gun are welcome. There doesn't seem to be a whole lot of interest in the 469. Thanks.

I just picked one up myself...a pistol I always wanted.
Havn't had a chance to shoot it, yet, but I have extra mags on the way from the classified section here. I also bought a nice Tex Shoemaker pancake holster off EBAY for a bargain price. The holster is molded black leather and made for the 469.

I dont have any photos of it but the box my 659 circa the same time came in is a blue and whit cardboard box about the same length and width as a shoe box but only about 1" deep. It has the model and serial number on one end, so if you ever found a box alone it wouldnt have your serial number on it unlees you are the luckiest guy in the world and you sould be collecting lottery tickets and not guns:D

Should look like this one...

Hi, The 469 is one of my favorites. I bought this one new in box last year or the year before, it worked flawlessly right out of the box. Thought about selling it to fund another project, but I think I'll hold onto it. Don't see too many in this kind of shape nowadays. This should show you everything, Shoo

Great pics fellas! Thanks for posting. I'll keep an eye on fleabay to see if a box pops up.

I think it's cool to see a little bit of interest sparked on the forum for these guns. I'll admit that I'm no marksman, but I do shoot a good bit. This 469 shoots just as well to POA as my CZ 75...which is typically the most accurate auto that I shoot. Really happy with this gun.

I guess the only thing I would change or have considered...would be nice if there was a wood grip panel available for this gun. There's just something right about blue steel and wood. I know, I know, budget gun plus the grip design equals no wood panel. In fact, I think because of the design it would be almost impossible to even mock one up. Would look good though...

Hey Crabtree, Have you been in my gun safe again ??? LOL ! You and I think alike my friend, my CZ 75 absolutely rocks ! I shoot it the best too. The 469 is a fine gun, I think if you searched around on this Forum you'd see posts from quite a few guys that either carried them in their jobs or had them at one time and are now kicking themselves for ever getting rid of them. Take care, Shoo

Crabtree, the photo I posted is from fleabay, I was too lazy to drag out my 469 box and camera.

Just checked and it's got 3 days to go and is .99 and is for a 469...

Good luck...

grips were made of plastic because they would be thinner and easier to conceal. grips of wood that thin would crack under very little use and be more expensive in the first place.someone used to make wood for these but it made the guns very thick in the grip and harder to carry undercover.

Also, opinions on this gun are welcome. There doesn't seem to be a whole lot of interest in the 469. Thanks.

I hope you enjoy your new 469. I bought mine new in 1983 and carried it for 25 years. I always found it to be very concealable, very accurate for a short-barreled gun, and most important, always reliable.

Enjoy it.
