Model 52-2 help

At a gun show and looking at a 1991 manufacturer Model 52-2 in about 98% with 2 magazines, matching box, paperwork, tools and SAT

I know these have gone up in the past years and he wants a pretty good buck for it. What is the market value these days?

I see prices all over the place on model 52's I would say $900-$1100 would be about right in that condition I bought one for $700 with 3 mags and no box in about 95% last year

If you are looking to own and love the pistol in question, $1,100-$1,200 is a solid buy price. You'd have to pay hundreds less if your grand plan is to try and flip it for money.

My experience with 52's is with 52-2's exclusively. Low A-prefix SN pistols tend to have more "value" and higher price, these often have the prettiest bluing/finish, while the later three-alpha SN guns sometimes seem a little less lustrous and pretty, some times exhibiting plum color or plum color on thumb safety and/or slide stop.

However, it's been my hands-on experience with 7 of these in my little group of friends that the three-alpha prefix guns absolutely shoot every bit as well as the earlier pistols that seem to bring more money.

The 2nd post by RILEY31 above with a 95% gun, 3 mags and $700? Well, phenomenal buy right there and worth high-fives and accolades, but that is -NOT- a market price. I would not let that anamoly suggest that it is repeatable. That is no more repeatable than buying a dollar scratch off and hitting the $500 dinger.

Hello Gun, I know the price is not our business, but give us an idea.
If under $1000 or at, jump on it. I have seen them trade at $2000.

He is around $1200. Don't really have a need for one but might pick it up as trade fodder.

It won't lose any value but you aren't stealing the pistol at $1,200. But if you wanted to own it, that is a solid price.

That is for sure. I only fired one once! WOW, it was impossible to miss the bull unless you actually tried. The 52 is the reason I went out and bought a new 39-2 in 1975. (I didn't like the idea of only using wadcutter ammo). Still have the 39-2.....
