Model 52 AMT frame

Hi! New to the forum and my first post!

a dozen years ago I purchased a model 52 built on an AMT stainless steel frame. All other parts seem to be original S&W. The serial number is XX00018, so I believe it to be early; possibly even rare.

Any info on this aftermarket frame would be greatly appreciated.
