Model 52 Differences

I'm trying to educate myself about the differences between the various dash/numbers of the Model 52. I've been told the 52-2 is considered the "ultimate" to have. Could someone give me a quick lesson?

52-1 improved single action only trigger
52-2 improved extractor added

In my opinion, while the Model 52-2 may have all the mechanical improvements and be a better "shooter," the early Model 52, being the first and having the best finish, has the most collector value.
