Model 520 question

I know that NYSP ordered the 520 and 3000 were produced and eventually sold.

Did S&W ever re-issue a newer run of 520s?

Yes, there is a new-er version of the 520...IIRC, it came with an alloy frame

Iggy, it seems like most of these are found LNIB. I guess the guys that first bought'em knew they were going to be collectable.
The ones I've seen have been $1000 to $1400 or so, with the $1000 being a few years ago.
An Alabama member had one in the forum classifieds not long ago for $1400 or so but I don't know if it sold.
