I have a model 53 with the 22 jet cylinder, all the inserts for 22lr, the original box and papers and was wondering what the value of it might be. Its in about 80%. There is wear on the blue from it being in a holster and also some wear on the grips. Any help would be great. This is a new gun for me and im just trying to learn about it. Also, how available is the 22 jet ammo for it?

Thanks

That's a very fun gun there...always been on my wish list. Values will run from $6-700 for a shooter with some modest wear and tear to $1000-1200 pristine with box, papers, tools etc. No idea on the ammo...

Enjoy IT!!!

I would think your gun is probably in the $600-$700 range assuming it is a 6" barrel. A little more for a 4" or 8". Ammo is tough, there are a couple of small guys that sell their own loads (sorry I don't have the names handy but google should find them). You can hit the various gun selling sites and usually someone is selling some ammo. Expect to pay $35-50 a box. Your best bet is to reload although .222 bullets can be hard to find as well.

Thanks for the info. It does look like a fun gun. I have never shot it and with the ammo being 35 to 50 a box i may never shot it.

I think it will be much more valuable if you post pictures:)

Graf has inexpensive brass for the Jet. I shoot mine with a 45 grain cast lead/gas check bullet and find it to be the most fun of anything around. Yours is apparently a shooter. Use it. I've had several mint collector types and they were only fun to trade. Shoot it and have fun.
