If your interested in Jet loads I posted 2 groups at 25 yards in the 1961-80 forum probably shoud have done it here but I though more might see it in that forum as there were several pages a while back on the Jet. Jeff

Hey jrm53, I read your post and that looks pretty good. I just bought a Jet the other day and a box of ammo yesterday at a gun show but have not shot it yet. If you don't mind me asking where did you get the dies and how much did they set you back? I.ve heard they are high $ and I saw on RCBS site they have the form die for $249, ouch. I did not see the reloading dies on the site.

Jet dies

Bamabiker best I remember the reloading dies are a little high but they were listed in a group of uncommon sizes that there is not to much call for, this making them a little higher than standard dies. The forming dies I think were about a 165-170 dollars but this was back in about 1999. If you go this route to form your own brass use new .357 brass you must anneal them or they will collapse when you try to work them. To anneal stand them up in a pan of water to about 1/2 way up on the case, heat one to til it just starts to turn red then push it over into the water. A propane torch will work fine. Jeff

new jet cases are available. forming jets is a royal pain.look around and you will find used jet dies for sale. check all the usual places. older loading manuals have jet info in them. anything from the 60's-earlier80's should have plenty of info. have loaded for them for a long time and would offer help if you need it. they are my favorite gun to shoot of all time.
