Model 547 s/n confusion.
In 5th edition model 547 s/n range from 2D00001 to 30d9291
1977-1983 plus. Page 1849
Then another section page 1071 says 547 began AAF SERIAL PREFIX in 1982 AND DELETED THE PIN BARREL. 1985 547 discontinued
I have seen a 3 inch with serial number ABK and seller says it was made in 1982. Is that correct? 2 areas of the book kind of contradict each s/n chart Would have been nice to have 1 chart that addressed the triple alpha codes with the Xd codes in one.
Am I missing something ?
