Several years ago, I purchased this Model 57 from Nagels Guns in San Antonio for $275. Hard times and hungry kids forced me to sell it to a friend long ago. I recently got it back from him and have put it into my winter carry gun rotation with an El Paso Saddlery Tom Threeperson holster. When was the last time anyone saw CCI Blazer 41 magnum? Serial # is N3087XX Can anyone get me a DOB? Practice load is 210 grain SWC around 950 fps. Mild, but still hits with authority.[IMG:top]

Sweet 57...275.00 even several years ago was a darn good price! I got my 6in 57 10+ years ago for 300.00 and still feel I got a good deal. Is your interest in the Blazer ammo for practice? I'd get something like some good ole' 175 gr. Winchester Silvertips for a carry load.

...nice gun...what year is it, 1976 +-?

As to the ammo...I have sold ammo since the early 1980s and don't ever recall CCI Blazer in .41 Magnum. That bullet must be the Speer 200 grain SWC-JHP...the first .41 Magnum bullet Speer ever made and just recently discontinued...

Don't shoot the ammo...there may be no more...

Bob

I've searched the world over and thought I'd found... oh wait a minute.

I've searched the world over for 30+ years for .41 Magnum ammo and have never seen Blazer.

I agree with Superman, I wouldn't shoot it.

Crazy story about the Blazer. A few months after purchasing the Model 57 at Nagel's, I was browsing the shelves with my youngest son, who at the time, was around 5 years old. No sooner had I started to look around when Jr announced he had to go to the bathroom. I asked and they directed me to the back of the store. While waiting for him to finish his business, I noticed a case of Blazer on the floor by the bathroom door. Upon closer examination, I discovered it was the 200 grain SWC-HP (black and silver boxes). I grabbed a box and asked a salesman for prices, since thet were not marked, he scratched his head and said, "How about six bucks." I purchased three boxes. I shot up one box and gave the other two to my friend when I sold him the pistol. To say I was glad to see them again is an understatement. I don't think I'll be shooting these. Imagine, six bucks for a 50 round box 41 mags.

I was in a Bass Pro one day about 6 years ago. Walked by the ammo counter and there were 2 boxes of Remington 210 SP. I asked the guy at the counter what the price was. He scanned them and said $9.99. I tried not to act too surprised! He asked if I wanted them. I said, Yea I may as well take them.

Went back a few weeks later and there were 2 more boxes. I asked for the price and was told $29.99. Now I wish I had bought them at that price! The last ones I saw at Gander Mountain were $59.99!

Wish we could find more at $6.00.

I lucked out a couple of weeks ago. A friend of a friend sold his .41 Mag (3" 657, sold it before notifying me!)and wanted to know if I wanted the ammo he had left. Got 120 loaded PMC, 100 new brass and 100 210gr hornady XTP's for $120....

I have had a blue 6 inch for years, in fact I traded for it at Nagels.
Friend of mine gave me, thats right, gave me a nickled 4 inch a few weeks ago. No dash, P&R TTH along with a box of Winchester ammo with 18 rounds missing. That was the total round count. Price on the box was $27.95.
Still searching for the 8 3/8 inch version.

The .41 is my favorite hand gun caliber.
