Model 57 age

I have a very nice model 57 with a 4" barrel SN. S3003XX can anyone tell me when it was made it must be early in production to be an "S" frame I would think, thanks dave500

Per the Standard catalog, production began @ serial number S227750 and that was in 1964. But as many have said, serial numbers were not always sent out in sequence. Looks like it would have been sometime around 67 to 69.

I'd like to see some pics if you got em.

I had a Model 57 with a serial number close to yours that was shipped in January 1969.
