Model 57 w/ box and papers. I want it

Had great fun at the auction. I was able to study the revolver closely. It looked really good. Finish was excellent with few exceptions. Small amount of tarnish between two flutes and on ejector rod. Bore was a bit dirty, cylinders looked better than inside muzzle. Grips were beautiful. Presentation case was very nice with a few scratches. Bidding started at $350 and there were 4 bidders in a room of 100 people that were there for comic books and furniture. $450-500-550, now 2 bidders. Me and the guy in front of me. $25 per bid. Up, Up, Up. Done. Sold. Me. $775 but wait... and I knew about all of this in advance: Add 10% auction fee. Add 7% tax and add $25 FFL transfer fee. Total $919. You guys were spot on in your value estimate. I'm happy. And while I was there I bought a German Model 98 Mauser in just as good shape as the S&W. Here are a few pictures. Thanks again.

Thanks for letting us know. Congratulations, a really nice package. Let us know how it shoots.

Nice looking 57. Don't worry about the price. It's reasonable and you'll be glad you have the gun long after you've forgotten about the amount spent. :)
