Now, when you buy the dies, you need to look at the accessories and reloading forum and buy some of Dixie G's 0.41 Special brass. I know it does not exist, BUT IT DOES. Dixie had a special run from Starline with the correct head stamp (0.12 inches less than 0.41 Magnum in length). Load a 215 grain lead semi wad at around 850-900 fps and do you have an accurate pistol. I have both a 6" and a 8 3/8 inch (paid $500 out the door for that one on consignment) and now have permission to use the 0.41 Special on a indoor range. Rather fun, particularly when somebody sees the head stamp. Dave_n

My best looking 57 is a nickle plated version in 8 3/8, all factory and not a scratch on the finish. WQhoever had it before me didn,t even fill out the warranty card and the cleaning swab is unused still in the cellophane. Whats it worth? I've got it insured for $700.
