211, I recently purchased my first L frame, a 586 in very good condition W/O box or papers. My high bid was $406.00, so $500.00 may be on the top end of OK. I had it at the range for the first time this week, and as with all my different S&W revolvers it was more accurate than I was, and recoil with any round was very manageable.
As much as I hate to admit this the 586 may replace my M 19-3 as my nightstand go to revolver.
So if you really want the one you are looking at and can afford it, go for it..
