Model 60-10 opinions wanted.

I have one that came with the rubber grips, which I changed to wood Hogue bantam boot grips. With the wood boot grips it's not much fun shooting many magnums.

I use mine mainly as a woods gun as I usually prefer small semi-autos for AISWB carry. However it should serve you well for that purpose.

$700 seems a bit high to me but maybe not these days.

I have owned a 60-10 for many years. It is one of my favorites. I purchased it to carry as a backup gun while hunting in Colorado and Texas. I liked it so much I carried it as a duty gun sometimes, especially in plainclothes or court duty. If someone asked what I was carrying, I told them it was a 686 but it got wet in the rain and shrank. It is easy to carry, very shootable and packs a lot of punch for its size. It makes a fine carry gun in a proper holster. It conceals well under a denim vest with a few speed loaders in the pockets. With the factory rubber grips, it is much more pleasant to shoot Magnums out of than the alloy J frames. With such a wide range of factory ammo from target 38 wad cutters up to full power 357 Magnums, you can really tailor it to meet just about any power level you need from mild to wild.

Having been in LE for 30+ years, have to disagree with your logic...

There are no LEOs who currently carry snubbies...and those that did were investigators who NEVER get into gun fights.
Crooks also rarely get into gun fights and only carried a snub because it could be hidden easily and only going to be used at arms length...and these days crooks don't even carry them having switched to plastic guns quite some time ago.
As to CC with a 3" vs a 2", unless one pocket carries or in a ankle holster there is no difference. Both are going to have the same grip regardless of barrel length and the 1" of extra barrel make no difference IWB and little difference OTB...and makes the gun much more shootable...

Uh, wow, Bob, quite the certainty there. Must be those years in wild and wooly New Hampsha, eh?
I'm not gonna do one of those point by point disagreement things. I'll just say that in the rest of the country, every one of your assertations about cops and crooks would be incorrect.
Anyway, hope the skiing's good this year up in Sunapee.
