Nice revolver, I've never seen one before. Was that a factory option on the Model 60? Or was it a special production run?
 
Interesting... why was this a desirable feature? Extra weight?

(Asked by someone whose Taurus View taught them about too-light guns...)

Seems like Michigan Police supply had some special ones made . A buddy was at the Melbourne Gun Show a while back and sent me a picture of a guy that had some S&W's . I took a close look and saw a different one in the bunch . I grabbed the bible and there it was , a M38 two tone . And guess where from ? Michigan Police Supply . By the time I got ahold of him , he was home . Next show I'm heading there , just in case he still has it .
 
And now in my possession.

First time I saw it I questioned the authenticity of the grips. I started doing a little digging, checked the S/N range and once I verified what it was the decision was made.
