model 60 grips

today I saw a model 60 for sale with pinned barrel and diamond round butt grips. I have seen diamonds on early 36's but never on a 60. any thoughts? thanks..

Wikipedia tells me the Model 60 arrived in 1965, so the first few years it should have worn diamond grips until '69 when they were phased out.

S&W deleted the diamond grips in 1968 on the mod.60.do you have the ser.# on the mod.60?
