Model 60 help...

Hello from south Alabama... I have a model 60 that is odd to me . Please help me with year of mfg, & if this is a odd ball
Model 60 on the crane
sn# aew 19xx
3'' barrel (not pinned)
square butt, fixed sight
I got this one for a song...It appears to be unfired...

An AEW serial number is likely from late in 1984.

It is likely one of the special order John Jovino square butt 2 and 3" guns from that year. Please see this thread from 2011 (in later ones I actually knew this information ) :

You have a very fine version of the SS Chief's Special Model. Round & Square butts were offered in blue steel as the M36-1. I have one, bought new years ago. Your M60 is the offspring of it. Treasure it, shoot it, love it.
